The Teach @ Loyola is a unique initiative to connect the alumni with the current students and teaching staff of Loyola College Chennai. The mission of this program is to provide a world class interactive online lecture series by well experienced and highly reputable alumni of the college from all over the world.

The Teach @ Loyola program has a vision to motivate Loyola students to hear from successful subject experts in various fields in Science, Mathematics, Commerce, Information Technology and Management.

The Teach @ Loyola program constitutes multiple areas of focus. These are:

• Teaching: Two or Three 1-hour pre-recorded/live online presentations per semester identified as an area of interest by Loyola Departmental faculty/students. For example,
  • Mathematics: Probability/statistics – machine learning, biomedical health applications, cybersecurity; modeling/optimization – machine learning, decision making, social media analytics/forensics, mobile computing;
  • Chemistry: Organic, Inorganic, Analytical and Physical Chemistry; Radiation and Photochemistry; Solid state Chemistry; Electrochemistry, Biochemistry, Catalysis.
  • Commerce: Business Models, International Business Law, US Policies on Trade and Commerce.
  • Management: Project Management, Operations Management, Time Management
  • Information Technology/Computer Science: Popular computer hardware and software programs.
• Research: Collaborate with faculty/Ph.D./M.Sc. students on dissertations/thesis. Serve as dissertation or thesis committee member, participate in regular research meetings, support top-quality research publications, and patent filings. Put together faculty/student teams to respond to Challenge Prize Competitions sponsored by organizations. Identify research funding opportunities and support successful technical proposals.
